Today, as I sat down to write my blog, I was overcome with nerves! I don’t know why blogging seems like such a big deal to me but it does! It’s like a whole different avenue to communicate your passion with people, and I want to make it fun! So I thought I would share some of my favorite images from a wedding I did more recently.

The wedding was actually for friends of mine, Jessie & James, and I had such a blast with this couple. They were willing to do whatever and go anywhere and there is nothing more thrilling to a photographer than a couple that just want awesome images! So we planned on a Trash the Dress session for after the wedding so we could really have all the time we wanted for creatives, and then we geared up for the wedding day! These two were married at the beautiful Staffords Bay View Inn in Petoskey, MI, right next to Lake Michigan. You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding day! The ceremony was on a lush green lawn surrounded by amazing flower gardens overlooking the lake. It was awesome.

Due to the wedding day time constraints, we knew we wouldn’t have very much time to shoot portraits with the bride and groom, so we shot what we had time for, shot their “thank you” card photos and then saved the rest of the lengthy creatives for the Trash the Dress session. Of course when we actually did the Trash the Dress, the weather was not our friend. It was absolutely freezing and SO windy! But my couple carried on and The Trash the Dress session yielded some of the most amazing pictures ever! I was so thrilled by the results of that day, I couldn’t wait to get the images posted.
